New Thriller for Fans of The Purge: THE REGISTRATION Book Review

If murder was legal, would you register a victim?

THE REGISTRATION by Madison Lawson takes the reader on a race to be killed or to kill in this mind-provoking thriller. Thank you, Madison Lawson, CamCat Books, and iRead Book Tours for the book and my honest review.

My Review:

I give THE REGISTRATION ⭐⭐⭐⭐!

What would you do if you were able to register one person in your lifetime and in 14 days legally murder them? Those are the laws in Lynell Mize's world. A chilling thought but the author does a wonderful job justifying this law and why Lynell justifies this law as she stands in line to register her abuser. While you wait in line with Lynell, you find an elderly couple in line. The old man register's his dying wife who stands next to him. Or a mother registering her unborn fetus because it was diagnosed with a deadly disease. But what's very creepy, is what if someone registers you!

That is how the novel begins before you're plunged over the summit of a rollercoaster trying to hide and run with Lynell from this man who wants her dead. But Lynell doesn't know who registered her or why? The author keeps not only the mystery of her killer but also a thick cloud of doubt over Lynell too leaving enticing clues about Lynell that make you wonder, how innocent is she really?

The plot of this book was very well done and the author does a wonderful job filling it with many red herrings. It was just hard for me to believe a government would put a law like this in place. But after saying that, our government has surprised me these past five years so I suppose anything is possible. Pick up your copy of The Registration, it won't disappoint!
